When you use the saying ‘Boys will be boys’ to excuse sexual harassment/ inappropriate sexual behavior, that is like saying ‘Boys will be predators’! And that is insulting on so many levels! This is an issue that not only women should be up in arms about, because if I were a man, and there was such a common saying as ‘boys will be predators’ around, I would be outraged! This form of gender stereotyping is just as applicable to men as it is to women.
